Legendary pianist and Cuban national treasure Jesus "Chucho" Valdes talks candidly about his monumental ensemble Irakere in this tribute to one of the greatest Cuban bands of all time. The film features live performances of songs such as "Misa Negra," "Chango" and "Stella Va a Estallar" and interviews with Chucho, Oscar Valdes, Carlos Emilio Morales, Enrique Pla, Jose Luis Cortes, Julio Padron, Cesar Lopez and other Irakere band members.
